The SM-J50 Glass Teapot Edge Folding Machine creates the characteristic rolled and folded rim on glass teapot body openings. This folded edge is both functional — creating a smooth, safe rim profile that accepts the teapot lid — and aesthetic, giving glass teapots their distinctive finished appearance. The edge fold also strengthens the rim, making it more resistant to chipping and breakage during normal use.
The machine uses oxy-gas flame heating to bring the glass teapot rim to forming temperature, then applies forming tools to create the precise fold profile. With an output of approximately 10 pieces per hour, the SM-J50 is designed for production-scale teapot manufacturing while maintaining the quality and consistency of each rim fold.
