Glass Bead Making Machinery
Continuous rotary furnace that rounds cut glass bead blanks — 3,500 kg/24h through heating, holding and discharge sections, with carbon black dosing to keep bead bores open.
A bead burning machine is the thermal forming stage of glass seed bead production: it reheats cut lengths of glass bead tube until the glass softens, tumbles them so surface tension draws each piece into a round, and discharges finished beads continuously at the far end.
The SM-BPP118 Bead Burning Machine is the core forming unit in a glass seed bead line. Cut tube blanks arrive with sharp cut edges, square corners and irregular contours; the machine heats and softens them, rolls and reshapes them, and delivers uniformly rounded beads ready for washing and screening. The rotating barrel runs through three sections — heating, holding and discharge — totalling roughly eight metres, and output is continuous rather than batched, which is what makes it suitable for volume production.
The machine is used together with a mixing barrel. Carbon black powder is introduced during firing so that the bore of each bead stays open: without it, the hole closes as the glass reaches forming temperature and the bead is scrap.

It performs the rounding stage of seed bead production. Cut lengths of glass bead tube are fed into a rotating barrel and heated until the glass softens; tumbling and surface tension turn each sharp-edged blank into a smooth, uniform bead. The beads then pass through a holding section and are discharged continuously at the outfeed.
At forming temperature the glass is soft enough that the bore of the bead can close up, which makes the bead unusable. Carbon black powder, mixed with the beads in the accompanying mixing barrel, sits in the hole during firing and keeps it open. It burns away afterwards and the beads are cleaned in the washing stage.
The standard machine produces 3,500 kg per 24 hours in continuous operation, drawing 63 kW. Actual figures vary with bead size, wall thickness and glass composition. Contact us with your product specification for a capacity estimate.
Standard lead time is 40 working days from order confirmation, as each machine is manufactured to order. For custom or modified machines, allow approximately 60 working days. Contact us for a specific timeline based on your requirements.
