The SM-J74 Glass Teapot Spout Attaching Machine is a newly developed precision machine that replaces manual spout attachment in glass teapot production. Attaching the glass spout to the teapot body is one of the most demanding operations in the teapot manufacturing process — requiring accurate positioning of the spout hole, precise flame heating to achieve a strong glass-to-glass bond, and careful control to avoid thermal stress cracking in either component.
The SM-J74 automates this process with a programmable PLC system that manages the heating, positioning, and bonding cycle. Different programs can be preset for different teapot products, enabling rapid changeover. The result is consistent spout positioning and attachment quality at 180 pieces per hour — far exceeding manual production rates.
The SM-J74 is the final forming machine in Sea Melody’s complete glass teapot production line, working with the body cutting, bottom sealing, body blowing, edge folding, and handle attaching machines to produce complete glass teapots ready for annealing and quality inspection.
