Household Glassware Machinery
Reshapes and seals the bottom of glass tubing at a single station — 80–100 pcs/h at just 0.3 kW, in a 1.85 m footprint.
A reshaping and bottom sealing machine finishes the closed end of a glass tube: it reheats the tube, reforms the wall to the required profile, and seals the base in one continuous operation, so the piece leaves the station with a finished bottom rather than an open cut end.
The SM-J80 performs both jobs at a single station, which is why it is often called a double-function tubing machine. Tube is loaded, brought up to working temperature, reshaped and bottom-sealed in the same cycle, then discharged. Because the two operations share one heating stage, the machine draws very little power — 0.3 kW — and occupies a footprint of just 1.85 × 0.9 metres, which makes it practical to place inline in an existing workshop rather than building a cell around it.
Throughput is 80–100 pieces per hour. This is a precision finishing station rather than a high-volume former: the output figure reflects the dwell time needed to reshape and seal cleanly without introducing stress into the base.
| Parameter | Value |

It finishes the closed end of a glass tube. The tube is reheated until the glass is workable, the wall is reformed to the required profile, and the base is sealed — all at one station. The piece comes off with a finished bottom instead of an open cut end, ready for the next process.
Because reshaping and bottom sealing are normally two separate operations. The SM-J80 does both in the same cycle at a single station, so the tube does not have to be transferred between machines and only has to be brought up to temperature once.
This is a finishing station, not a former. The cycle time is set by how long the base needs at temperature to seal cleanly and cool without locking stress into the glass. Rushing it produces bases that crack later. For higher volume, several stations are run in parallel — contact us with your throughput target.
Standard lead time is 40 working days from order confirmation, as each machine is manufactured to order. For custom or modified machines, allow approximately 60 working days. Contact us for a specific timeline based on your requirements.
